How to buy at our auctions
Buying at auction is one of the most exciting ways to acquire art, antiques, Jewels, and many other things; it is often the most economical as well.
Auction previews are also ideal places to increase your knowledge about art, and offer the distinct advantage of allowing you to actually touch the items offered for sale.
Auctions are public events and free of charge. Everyone is weolcome - even if you are not sure that you will bid on anything.

Before the auctions
First, we recomend you visit the preview and inspect the items on which you wish to bid. All lots are sold in the condition they are at the moment of the sale. If furhter questions are neeeded to be answered, the auction house expert will gladly inform you about the item´s state of conservation, age, provenance, etc.

On auction's date
You must registeer at the reception where you will obtain a bidding number. You shoudl provide a bank guarantee or cash (refundable in case you decide not to bid or have no succesful biddings).

Catalogues and Estimates
In most cases, we print a catalogue for every auction. On every catalogue, you will find, lot information, estimates, in most cases, photographs of item. Estimates are an indication of what the specialist feels is a fair selling price. It can sell for less and of course for more; this will depend on how bidding is going on.

To make bids on the sale's room
Simply; you raise your hand when you want to bid. The auctionner will acknowledge your bid by calling out the price you will be expected to pay. This process continues until only one person is left bidding. The successful bidder must pay the "hammer price" (the last price called out by the auctioneer when let his hammer fall), plus buyer´s commission (see details of commissions on catalogues) and any applicable taxes.

To make bids on the telephone or through an auction house's agent
If you are unable to attend the auction or live out the auction house are, you may take part on the sale through the telephone or let and agent do the bidding on behalf of you. Just fill out the absentee bid form, where you will select lot or lots of your interest and the maximum price you wish to bid.
